Property Committee Aug 2018


AUGUST 8, 2018

Members Present:  Ralph Carey, Dave Kroth, Stephanie Bass, Bruce Roper, Chris Zollo and Pat Beadling.


Coffee and donuts provided. 

We will be:

  • weeding the playground
  • hanging new directional signs in the hallway
  • placing the new sign and
  • planting grass at the back entrance.

the new roof and gutters have been done and all went well. The contractor, Manion, has been paid. Pat will contact someone to power wash the back of the house because of moss.

Pre-K Locks
New locks have been purchased for all 12 doors. While they were expensive, they will provide a more secure lock and have a key.  Alan Eickhoff and Ken Woods will be installing them prior to the beginning of school.

Front Doors
Bob Mueller received an estimate of $7,000 for the handicapped accessible door in the Narthex. Pat will contact Mary Bachman, since it will be paid from Ken’s memorial.

Electrical Issue
Chris Zollo will be installing a ceiling fan in the church office, putting a motion sensor over the back steps, fixing a light over one of the flower vases in the Sanctuary and looking at how to light the cross in the new back entrance.  Thank You!

Fellowship Hall Windows
Pat advised the committee that the new windows are scheduled to be installed in Fellowship Hall the week of September 24. The contractor, Tom Adams, will be working around the food pantry schedule.

Narthex door
The door closest to the library is not closing properly. Ralph is contacting Mike’s Lock Shop.

Pat checked with Stephanie to see if there was anything they needed prior to the beginning of school and other than the playground – they are okay.
