Food Pantry Report

The delayed start of fall meant an extension of our season for receiving fresh produce.

We thank our team of drivers!

Pat Beadling, Patty Cawthorne, Ted Smoyer, and Louise and Ken Woods who drove to Bensalem every Tuesday to pick up what was available and bring it back to the pantry.  The produce added greatly to our bounty of product offered.

We have an immediate need for a driver on Wednesdays to pick up bread and pastry at the Wilson Senior Center in Warminster.  This involves going to the center around noon time, picking up the available product, and transporting it back to the pantry.  This would start in November and then alternate months with the other driver we currently have on Wednesdays.  If more than one person volunteers, it means more “time off” in between assignments.

Redeemer Lutheran has increased their support of the pantry as they will soon start delivering bagels.  They have been picking up bagels every Tuesday from Bucks Bagels and taking them elsewhere.  That institution no longer wants them so the Food Pantry becomes the recipient of this bounty.  Bagels are a very popular item on our bread table.

Use of the pantry for September 2018 was right on target for our average.  We had 249 clients, up 2 from last year.  16 new clients signed up with the pantry as compared to 12 new clients in September 2017.

We thank you for your prayers and support for this important ministry to our community.
