Food Pantry Report August, 2019

August 21, 2019

The summer season surely is in full swing and so is the pantry.
Fresh vegetables such as cucumbers, lettuce, corn, squash, eggplant, and even early apples are adding to our offerings.  If your garden is producing more than you can consume, we can help.  Please bring your donation in early in the week so that we can offer it fresh to our clients.

  • We are open 1st and 3rd Mondays from 4 PM to 6 PM and
  • every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

In the report of last month, we noted our high-temperature problem in the storage area and asked you for help in addressing it by adding air conditioning to the area.  We are so very pleased to announce that we have adequate funds and will shortly be contacting our HVAC company to start the process of solving the issue.  We can’t thank you enough for your continued generosity and support both in prayer and in action.

July use of the pantry was up as compared to use in July 2018.  This is consistent with what we have experienced for almost all of the year to date.  We are blessed to be able to continue to meet these higher numbers with an extensive offering of products.  Thank you for all that you do on behalf of this vital ministry to our community.
